For eight years Carol Smith has dedicated her considerable people and organizational skills to the NBPR team. A bright ray of sunshine on any given day, Carol serves in a variety of capacities, such as bookseller and librarian liaison, event and travel planner planner, researcher, procurer of client website prizes, instigator of fun and counselor to all.
A native of Oklahoma, Carol earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and her Master’s in Speech and Audiology from the University of Oklahoma. Before the birth of her two children, she worked as a speech pathologist in the Oklahoma City and Norman, Oklahoma, Public Schools and went on to become president of the Putnam City School District Parent Teacher Association. During her stint as a sales rep in the giftware industry, Carol learned the ropes of the retail business, which makes her a strong contributor to brainstorming sessions for client promotional plans. A cancer survivor, Carol thanks her lucky stars that every day she can bring joy to others, especially her four grandchildren. Her other passions: the University of Oklahoma Sooners football team and Oklahoma City Thunder basketball .
